About TheraSpa 

I have over 25 years salon and spa experience and now provide salon and spa services included with: massage therapy, hot stone therapy, aromatherapy, infrared sauna treatments, reflexology, facials, waxing, as well as hair and nail care, and tanning services.

I have worked in the Frederick area since 1996. First, as an apprentice at Accents Salon in Frederick, MD and after 2 years at this establishment I achieved my goal to become a certified cosmetologist. Eventually, I wanted to expand my skills to provide more than hair and nail care services and offer my clients healing therapeutic services as well. In 1999, I enrolled at The Baltimore School of Massage and received the training I needed to become a Maryland Registered Massage Practitioner.

In 2006, I joined the family at Woody's Salon in Frederick, MD. During this time, I gained so much experience and knowledge in natural nail care. In 2013, after becoming a senior cosmetologist, I decided to take a leap of faith toward salon ownership. My husband and I decided to use an investment property in historic Walkersville, MD  and after extensive renovations, TheraSpa & Salon opened on December 2, 2013.

In the summer of 2019,  to be closer to home, I decided to move TheraSpa to a new location and so the hunt began for the perfect place. We finally settled on a space on the Golden Mile in Frederick, MD after finding an advertisement for available salon stylists or other technicians looking for space to share. After negotiations and renovations and more negotiations,  TheraSpa opened and was one of several small businesses providing salon and spa services at this location.

October 2019, the owners decided to close their business. After weeks of soul searching, I decided to take the plunge and take over the entire location. TheraSpa took over the lease on December 1, 2019 and  TheraSpa Salon & Suites was born...a dream come true. I strive every day to grow myself and my business with the support of the TheraSpa Suite's team, my partners in business, the community, my clients, friends, and family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for walking with me on this journey through 2020 and into the 2021.

TheraSpa Suite's team offers services such as hair braiding, creative hair color, hair extensions, hair texturing, wig making, eyelash extensions, brow tinting, and spray tanning. Check out TheraSpa Suites for detailed information on all of our stylists and technicians and the services they offer.
